Fiesta Flamenca is inspired by the origins of flamenco in café cantantes, placing the musicians and dancers among the audience. This star-studded program features a dazzling lineup of renowned artists, such as dancers Raquel Heredia “La Repompa,” Juan Tomás de la Molía, and Alberto Sellés, and singer-songwriter Mara Rey. Grab your seat in an intimate cabaret setting for a memorable celebration of flamenco’s depth, diversity, and fiery passion. All attendees 21 and over are invited to enjoy complimentary wine during the performance.
Alberto Sellés (Dancer) has built a remarkable career as a flamenco performer, working with companies such as Estévez/Paños and in productions by Manuel Liñán, as well as collaborating with artists like Arcángel and Kiki Morente. He has also explored his own singing to accompany his dance. His work has earned critical acclaim, including the Revelation Award at the Festival de Jerez (2014), First Prize at the Spanish and Flamenco Dance Choreography Competition (2020), and a nomination for Best Male Performer in Dance at the Premios Max (2023).
Juan Tomás de la Molía (Dancer) was born in Trebujena, Cádiz, in 2000. He began his flamenco training at the age of six at Peña Los Cernícalos in Jerez, studying under masters such as José Galván, El Choro, Javier Barón, and Rafael Campallo. He has been part of Manuel Liñán’s production Muerta de Amor and is the creator of Vertebrado, a show that earned him the Revelation Artist Award at the Festival de Jerez 2024, directed by Liñán. He has also won the National Competition of Córdoba (2022). Known for his refined technique and powerful stage presence, Juan Tomás is considered one of the most exciting new talents in contemporary flamenco.
Raquel Heredia “La Repompa” (Dancer) was born in Málaga into a family of flamenco artists, daughter of Rafaela Reyes “La Repompilla” and niece of Enriqueta Reyes Porras “La Repompa de Málaga.” She has shared her art around the world, performing in the United States, Mexico, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, France, and Italy. Highlights of her career include her first show Alma y Tacón, premiered at El Corral del Carbón and later performed in New York and Chicago. She has collaborated with companies such as Adrián Santana (Las 4 esquinas del Perchel), Juan Andrés Maya, and Jonathan Miró (Villa Rosa, Festival of Milan). Raquel has also participated in the homage Repompeando in Málaga and worked with John Galliano for Dior at the Palace of Versailles. She continues to perform in tablaos, peñas, and festivals across Spain and worldwide.
Mara Rey (Singer), born in Madrid in 1979, is a flamenco singer whose voice has graced stages in Mexico and Spain since childhood. Raised in a flamenco family, she has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Manuela Carrasco, Los Farruco, Poveda, and Duquende, performing in prestigious venues like the Lope de Vega Theater, the Bienal de Flamenco, and the Festival de Jerez. After reaching a wider audience as a semifinalist on the television program “Levántate,” Mara continues her artistic journey performing alongside her son José Rey and her brother Antonio Rey, bringing flamenco to new generations.
