Phuong Phan (she/her) is a Vietnamese-German independent researcher and curator based in Berlin, Germany. Phuong is vested in the intricate interrelationship between art and social science. Her primary focus revolves around curating exhibitions rooted in anthropological research, exploring the domain of contemporary art emerging from Southeast Asia. She is interested in the complexities inherent in SEA contemporary art within the socio-historical and cultural landscape while juxtaposing this regional perspective within a broader global context. Parallel to curatorial works she is writing on her PhD manuscript on socialist propaganda posters in Vietnam.
