About

mik phillips (he/they) is a white, trans, queer, + fat multidisciplinary artist based on Lenni Lenape land (currently known as Philadelphia). their research deeply investigates how queerness inhabits performative structures and how in these spaces, vulgarities exist in simultaneity with notions of intimacy and care. he is committed to expanding on, continuing, remembering and moving inside and through queer futurity through the lens of movement based practices, text, sound/voice, collaboration and enactments. mik aims to distort time and go elsewhere while living inside a constant welling; a need for quivers, heaving, uncontrollable laughter, sobs, and indiscriminate violence guides them into creating temporary worlds that are maniacally unkempt and grotesquely forgiving.
